Core Description
Responsible for the effective management of a Regional Integration Network Planning section, which ultimately contributes to an efficient and reliable network. Should conduct analysis and implementation of current and future technology changes, which impact on Openserserve's Communications Network thus ensuring a positive customer experience.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of Regional Integration Network Planning in accordance with the business objectives:
- Compile and maintain aligned NMPs for the Regional Switched Circuit Network (SCNet), ATMNet, Regional Core Transport Network, Distribution Network, Access Network, Non-Voice Network, Energy and Fibre Network, Facilities and International Network
- Develop and drive an operational plan
- Gather requirements from key role players
- Identify targets and goals for environment
- Conduct Network Engineering Audits
- Ensure Network and Facility Optimisation through utilisation monitoring and forecast analysis techniques
- Connecting customers to the network
Manage the performance, productivity, development and wellbeing of own team:

Efficient management of functional area:
- Build and maintain efficient relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as well as service providers
- Manage and control of building activities outsourced to contractors and ensure quality checks on infrastructure
- Monitor and mitigate risks activities (including business continuity and operational risk management) within the technology environment
- Support to strategic projects led from Openserve and other parts of Openserve Group
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX budget, expenditure and performance reporting with strict discipline
- Ensure legislator compliance and corporate governance
- Implement and adhere to Openserve policies and procedures
- Drive BBBEE Diversity targets
