Core Description
Responsible for strategic and technical direction, customisation, operationalisation, and support of Network Management Systems (NMS) and or Applications and associated Information Technology Infrastructure Systems. This is across all ranges to optimise Openserve’s Core Network performance towards world class standards. Liaising and maintenance of support contracts. Provide specialised assistance, within own areas of expertise, on most aspects of the technology that the NMS supports. Drive efficiencies through continuous process improvements and automation. Responsible for the planning, build, systems management, technology & services integration and in-house training. Support shall be provided at an expert level, taking responsibility for action and decisions concerning the prompt restoration or provision of service in full or partial system failure(s).
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the integration and execution of business drivers and key business objectives (20%)
- Compile policies and procedures, guidelines and specifications applicable to Networks and Services
- Conduct special investigations
- Develop technical operational plans
- Customise/ operationalise solution/ service
- Maintain systems
Drive Operational efficiencies (40%)
- Ensure service or network availability and performance
- Manage projects
- Improve network/ service and platform performance
- Research Technology, Solutions and Services
- Upgrade network services and platforms
Manages internal & external customer relationships (10%)
- Coordinate vendor/ contractor service
- Maintain support contracts
