Core Description

Assist Product Costing Specialists in conducting network costing studies for all network elements with the purpose of driving reliable and accurate end-to-end product costing of all Openserve products and services. Ensuring that complete and accurate assumptions are applied to assist pricing decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Technical Product Development teams to ensure all cost components of a product are accurately represented.
  • Assist with annual review of network costing, impact on product costing and commercial pricing decision making.
  • Analyse and validate capital cost of expenditure related to development of new products.
  • Prepare end-to-end cost studies for the development of new products.
  • Validate assumptions, obtain costing information, and generate scenarios for discussions with business units.
  • Generate reports, present findings, recommendations, assumptions, risks, and financial impact of the proposals.
  • Contribute to discussions and reviews conducted during product development process.
  • Assist with regular review and update of financial loading factors and financial assumptions used in product pricing.
  • Assist with annual review of existing product costs and impact analysis on commercial pricing.
  • Convening and coordinating regular meetings of bodies within Openserve with overall oversight of the costing and pricing effect.
  • Provide costing and pricing analytics to assist the commercial pricing team in making tactical and strategic business decisions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product Development, Product Management, Commercial pricing) on all costing issues, queries, and cost study developments.

Customer Specific Solutions (CSS)

  • Perform minimum price calculations for CSS and investigate errors in costing inputs.
  • Assist with RFQ meetings and give costing and pricing inputs to the bids team.

Margin Analysis
Assist with Product Margin Analysis Report.

Additional Information

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification preferably in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Finance and Commercial
  • Experience in costing or similar role at operational level.
  • Experience in Product Costing and Pricing in the Telecommunication industry would be advantageous.
