Core Description

Responsible to lead and manage Telkom Group’s digital communications strategy to ensure the company maintains a strong, competitive, and innovative digital presence. Also oversee digital communication channels, manage internal and external agencies, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and industry best practices. Play a critical role in enhancing company visibility, strengthening executive positioning, and ensuring Telkom remains at the forefront of digital communication trends.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement an integrated digital communications strategy aligned with Telkom Group’s corporate objectives. 
Drive thought leadership and visibility for the Group Executive Committee (Exco) across digital platforms. 
Ensure Telkom’s digital communications are competitive, innovative, and benchmarked against global best practices. 

Digital Channel Oversight 
Oversee and guide the work of channel specialists managing social media, web, intranet, and other digital platforms
Ensure consistent brand messaging, tone of voice, and engagement across all digital channels.
Monitor and optimize digital performance metrics to drive reach, engagement, and impact. 

Agency and Vendor Management
Manage the primary digital communications agency and coordinate with multiple external agencies for campaigns and projects. 
Oversee agency deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives. 
Negotiate contracts and manage budgets for digital communications initiatives.

Executive and Corporate Visibility 
Develop and execute digital visibility strategies for Group Exco members, including online profiles, thought leadership content, and digital presence.
Support corporate reputation management through proactive and reactive digital strategies. 
Ensure alignment of executive communications with overall corporate messaging. 

Innovation and Industry Trends 
Continuously monitor digital communication trends, emerging platforms, and technologies. 
Identify opportunities for innovation and implement new tools, approaches, and strategies to keep Telkom ahead of the curve. 
Benchmark Telkom’s digital presence against competitors and industry leaders. 

Governance and Compliance 
Ensure all digital communications adhere to corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Protect and enhance the company’s digital reputation through effective risk management and crisis communication protocols.

Measurable improvements in digital engagement, reach, and sentiment.

Experience

  • 7 Years relevant experience, of which at least 2 years on management level

Additional Information

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field (master’s degree preferred). 
  • 8+ years of experience in digital communications, corporate communications, or digital marketing. 
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing digital communication strategies at a corporate or agency level. 
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms, analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in executive visibility and thought leadership campaigns.
