Core Description

The Operations Specialist: CSI is responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of Corporate Social Investment programmes within the Telkom Foundation. The role ensures operational excellence, governance compliance, and measurable social impact, particularly in initiatives focused on education, digital inclusion, youth development, and Science, Technology & Economic Management (STEM) programmes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operational Management
Coordinate and administer day-to-day CSI operations, including project planning, timelines, and resource allocation.
Manage CSI budgets, track expenditure, and ensure financial compliance and accurate record-keeping.
Oversee contracts, MOUs, and service-level agreements with implementing partners, NGOs, and suppliers.
Ensure CSI initiatives align with the company’s CSI strategy, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

2. Project Coordination & Implementation
Support the implementation of CSI projects from inception to close-out.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
Monitor project milestones, risks, and deliverables, escalating issues where necessary.
Conduct site visits and due diligence assessments where required.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Track and measure CSI project performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.
Collect, verify, and consolidate impact data from beneficiaries and partners.
Prepare regular operational, financial, and impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support audits, evaluations, and compliance reviews related to CSI activities.

4. Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to CSI policies, procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., BBBEE, ESG, or local regulatory frameworks, where applicable).
Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all CSI activities.
Support risk management processes related to CSI operations.

5. Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain effective relationships with NGOs, community partners, service providers, and internal teams.
Respond to CSI-related operational queries and provide administrative support to the CSI function.
Represent the organization professionally in CSI operational engagements.

Additional Information

Qualifications and experience:
Qualification in social sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Public Management, Marketing, Sustainability, or a related field.
3-5 years experience in a CSI, NGO, sustainability, or development operations role.
Knowledge of CSI, ESG, or social development frameworks is an advantage.

Special Requirements:
Availability to travel across provinces and sleep over when required to work on projects.
