Core Description
To fulfill cross functional contract management responsibilities during both pre and post contractual matters whilst monitoring the performance of all allocated contracts and ensuring best practice contract management is implemented until close-out. This role will in this context be mainly responsible for managing the performance of Service Providers/ Contractors and own staff to ensure customer satisfaction. Implementing best practice contract management in the context of SRM will be a key aspect of this role.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the accreditation and integration of Vendors into operations
- Oversee on-boarding of vendor technicians
- Record keeping of police clearance, ID cards, driver's license, tools, equipment and vehicle checks
- Implement vendor management business plan
- Identify targets & goals for environment
Manages contract performance, business drivers and SLA's
- Implement best practice contract management for the entire contract management value chain
- Build relationships with vendors
- Responsible for documented liaison meetings including quality and safety scores
- Manage Vendor contracted SLA's
- Dispute resolution between vendors and Telkom/ vendor
- Assist with drafting and negotiation of contracts, addendums, statement of works etc.
- Create and implement contract guidelines relevant to different parts of the business and ensure required training is conducted.

Manages people performance and development - direct reports
- Compile human capital plan and work force planning
- Provide people management to the team
- Provide appropriate training and development initiatives

Drive compliance as per Telkom policies
- Compile plan for Sites, Stock, Quality and Safety compliance audits
- Manage service provider claims, disputes and audits
- Communicate and ensure compliance to Policies, Procedures and Work Instruction and legal requirements with Service Providers and staff
- Ensure quality & timelines are met
Manages internal & external customer relationships
- Build relationships with relevant stakeholders by building and managing internal and external customer relationships
Manages of budgets, expenditure and performance reporting
- Manage finances and resources of section
- Manage and approve vendor payments/ penalties according to DOA
