Core Description
The Executive: Digital Technology Development is responsible for leading the design, development, and continuous evolution of CSB’s digital technology ecosystem to enable long-term competitiveness, operational resilience, automation, scalability, and customer-centric innovation. This role drives the implementation of digital platforms, cloud solutions, modern engineering practices, and emerging technologies to improve digital customer experience, accelerate digital transformation, and ensure future-proof technology capability for the organisation.
The position provides strategic leadership in building a digital-first culture, driving digital optimisation, modernising legacy platforms, managing enterprise architecture adoption, enhancing platform security, and ensuring digital value delivery aligned with business strategy and customer experience goals.
Job Responsibilities
1. Digital Strategy and Innovation Leadership
Define and lead the digital technology roadmap ensuring alignment with CSB’s strategic objectives, emerging technologies, market shifts, and long-term innovation strategy.
Promote adoption of cloud-native, platform-driven, and API-first architecture models for improved scalability and speed-to-market.
Champion new technologies to improve business efficiency and customer engagement.
Drive a modern engineering culture focused on continuous learning, innovation, experimentation, and digital excellence.
2. Platform and Technology Delivery
Oversee design, integration, and deployment of secure, scalable, modular digital platforms, including mobile, web, omni-channel, service orchestration, and enterprise systems.
Lead digital program delivery using Agile, DevOps and CI/CD methodologies ensuring accelerated delivery without compromising stability or compliance.
Monitor platform health, performance and availability using modern observability, AI-Ops and digital analytics tools.
3. Technology Governance, Security and Compliance
Establish standards and best practices across architecture, development frameworks, quality engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure governance.
Ensure compliance with ICT governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, risk standards, data privacy legislation and cybersecurity principles
Manage digital risk mitigation, vendor dependency risk, and service continuity including disaster recovery, resilience and cybersecurity posture.
4. Customer-Centric Digital Experience
Ensure digital platforms support seamless end-to-end customer journeys, enabling onboarding, self-service, billing, and support experiences that are smart, intuitive and automated.
Use digital analytics, UX research, data insights and automation to continually optimise customer experience outcomes and reduce friction.
Foster design thinking, accessibility, and omnichannel consistency across all digital platforms.
5. Partnerships, Ecosystems and Vendor Leadership
Develop strong strategic vendor, technology partner and ecosystem relationships to accelerate digital capabilities, speed to market and innovation.
Lead negotiations and manage complex multi-vendor delivery environments ensuring service levels, cost effectiveness, and strategic alignment.
6. Leadership, Talent and Culture
Lead, mentor and inspire high-performing digital engineering, data, architecture and delivery teams ensuring continuous capability uplift and succession planning.
Build a future-ready workforce by enabling talent reskilling in cloud, AI, cyber, platform engineering and automation disciplines.

Additional Information
Certification, qualifications and experience:
Certifications in Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF), Scrum/Scaled Agile, ITIL, Cybersecurity will be advantageous.
Qualification in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
Postgraduate qualification (MBA/Masters) will be preferred.
Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles in technology leadership.
Proven experience in leading large-scale digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives.

Ensure digital platform maturity aligned to evolving customer behaviours, automation needs, and data-driven leadership.
