Core Description

Accountable for mobile, broadband and airtime sales revenue and connection targets within an allocated customer segment and/or channels. Develop and implement a detailed new business sales strategy within the channel, in alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives. In conjunction with regional and head-office stakeholders, sales activities need to be targeted based on customer segmentation, customer value proposition, network availability and channel insights. Sales channels include primarily (not limited to) national chains, informal/ wholesale and airtime dealers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sales, revenue growth and retention planning and execution: Aligned with the Consumer business plan, a detailed sales and revenue growth plan must be developed and executed - with specific reference (but not limited to) national chains, informal/ wholesale and airtime dealers.
  • Sales channel establishment, maintenance and performance management: Considering national and regional customer segments and network availability, appropriate sales channels must be developed and/or utilised to deliver on targets.
  • Channel performance and profitability must be monitored, and corrective actions implemented where appropriate.
  • Channel, demand, competitor and other insights: Operational and tactical insights within the channel and segment needs to be translated into network, sales, channel and marketing investment proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships: Establish and build relationships with channel stakeholders and/or management of sales channels to ensure a lasting, commercially successful relationship for Telkom.
